IPL 2024 Mini Auction: BCCI has scheduled the Tata IPL 2024 (Indian Premier League) Mini Auction on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in Dubai. For the first time in the history of IPL, the auction will be held abroad.

The player auction for the Tata Indian Premier League 2024 is going to be held in Dubai on December 19. The 10 franchise teams in the IPL 2024 mini auction have been asked to submit the list of their retained and released players by November 15. After which the auction pool will be completed in early December.

IPL 2024 Mini Auction

This time many foreign players can participate in the IPL Mini Auction. Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc is also included in the IPL 2024 mini auction, Mitchell Starc will return to the IPL after a gap of eight years. Apart from them, Australia captain Pat Cummins, England’s Alex Hales and Chris Woakes can also be included.

Many players like CSK’s Ambati Rayudu have announced their retirement, while players like Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Alex Hales, Rachin Ravindra could be available in the auction for the franchise.

Many IPL teams can bid on New Zealand’s star player Rachin Ravindra during the IPL 2024 mini auction. Rachin Ravindra could be one of the most expensive players in the auction! DC needs a good all-rounder in the middle. CSK can buy him in place of Moeen Ali. Whereas GT, RCB and LSG can buy Rachin Ravindra as the best option for number 3.

IPL 2024 Mini Auction Team Purse Value

This time each team will have a purse of Rs 100 crore to participate in the IPL 2024 mini auction. However the final purse of each team in the auction will depend on the retention and release of players by the respective team before the auction. Let us tell you that in the IPL 2023 auction, the team had a purse of Rs 95 crore, which is Rs 5 crore more this time.

Punjab Kings have the largest purse available at around Rs 12.20 crore, while five-time champion team Mumbai Indians has the smallest purse value of around Rs 5 lakh left. Defending champion and five-time winners Chennai Super Kings are left with a purse of Rs 1.5 crore.

Among other teams, Kolkata Knight Riders have Rs 1.65 crore. Royal Challengers Bangalore have Rs 1.75 crore. Rajasthan Royals have Rs 3.35 crore. Lucknow Super Giants have Rs 3.55 crore. Both Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals are left with Rs 4.45 crore and Sunrisers Hyderabad are left with Rs 6.55 crore.

Meanwhile, there is discussion that the auction for the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2024) will be held in the first week of December. However, sources have indicated that no date has been decided yet. The tournament is expected to be held in the February-March window.
